总检察署早前接二连三地动用已在两年前被首相宣布“废除”的《煽动法令》提控多名在野党领袖、学运分子及学者之后,大家都在引颈期盼,几时轮到土著权威组织主席依布拉欣阿里?
在这波煽动法令的提控潮中被点名的几名被控者,有的只是建议废除雪州宗教理事会的行政权、有的纯粹是从学术角度评论宪政危机,有的更只是因为在州议会斥骂巫统“混蛋”;既然连这些言论也足以构成煽动的理由,那么依布拉欣阿里恫言焚烧人家的圣经,总不可能比有人斥骂“混蛋”来得合情合理合法吧?
偏偏一个马来西亚的政府就是有一套自己的标准。继首相署部长南茜在国会宣读不提控阿里的声明后,日前总检察长阿都干尼再次为阿里背书,总检察曙在经过“全面性考量案情”后,发现依布拉欣阿里焚烧圣经的言论,纯粹是为了捍卫伊斯兰的圣洁。
这下可好了,那些威胁要杀死举办穆斯林摸狗行动负责人的极端分子,也可以“捍卫伊斯兰的圣洁”来合理化他们的言行了。行动党那位被煽动法令提控的州议员雷尔上庭时不懂可否如此抗辩,他斥骂巫统是“混蛋”,也纯粹是为了捍卫行动党的圣洁?
首相纳吉早前在联合国大会演讲时指出:中庸之道可以对抗极端主义,甚至还倡议全球推行中庸运动。若我们以焚烧圣经的言论来检验纳吉的这番话,依布拉欣阿里是属于中庸还是极端?选择不提控阿里,到底是以中庸之道对抗极端主义、抑或助长极端主义打击中庸之道?
我国政府滥用恶法打压异议的形象,在人们的印象中并非一日之寒,而是多年来的观察经验累积。当你选择提控一个斥骂执政党“混蛋”的在野党议员,同时又力撑另一个威胁要焚烧圣经的亲执政党的右翼领袖时,你可以责怪人家认定你执行双重标准吗?
一个政府的公信力,除了有赖于领导人的言行一致,更取决于各个政府机关在执行任务时的公正不阿。一国之相针对一项法令的存废出尔反尔,已经让人大倒胃口了;再加上一个选择性对异议分子作出提控的总检察署,这个政府的公信力,比Oktoberfest啤酒节那一杯杯啤酒上的泡沫,分量来得更轻。

This morning while I was taking my breakfast and reading the newspaper. I was chocked by the food after reading MCA youth went to AG chamber to send a memorandum by asking AG to charge Ibrahim Ali.Is MCA part of the government ? Why they have no say in the running of government ? It is a laughing stock where a so called government partner has to send a memorandum to the influential partner to implement certain policy.
This is so called First class remunerations but third class administrations for our civil servants. They are the votes runners and angry makers to the people.
Unfortunately the so called chinese based component ruling party members were pretend deaf and mouth shut.
The people may just remain silence but the burning heart will show cause in due course.
